When Hurt Happens We Can Become A Stronger Person

Just finished reading Brene Brown’s Rising Strong and I love this book it was a great read and I believe everyone should read it. We all fall, we all fail, yet do we get back up after our fall or after our failure?

Have learned a lot while reading this book and other things I have felt before or feelings about certain topics did see in this book. Communication is so important and is the one thing pretty much discussed in the book. Fear can rip you apart inside and on the outside but, we should not let it define who we are. Being vulnerable is another obstacle we all face whether we acknowledge it or not. Sometimes being vulnerable is not a bad thing.

2020 and even with 2021 mental illness is at the forefront of everything. It is something that is swept underneath the rug. Again communication is key and we need to talk to each other. Instead of avoiding situations or confrontations we should be able to talk to each other, letting each other know what is wrong and other things.

Keeping your emotions buried is not good what one can do is write your feelings your emotions our in a journal. This is something I do and it does help with things especially when if I have something to say I need to write it out before speaking. “Failure can become nourishment if we are willing to get curious, show up vulnerable and human, and put rising strong into practice,” (214). Are we open and willing to explore our failures? I know feeling like what you did was good but then someone says something completely different and ends up hurting your to make you feel low. Don’t let this fear define you. Grab your fear and ask questions, grow from that experience, be brave and be strong.

A powerful read about being vulnerable, scared, fearful, and not letting these control you but, becoming a person who is strong.
